Netizens tickled by this birthday cake with super long dedication

Personalized dedication cakes have been in vogue these days, usually containing a short message for the receiver.

But one dedication cake recently went viral because of the essay-length message written in small letters that covered its whole surface!

According to Kuya Kim on Friday's "24 Oras," the cake has been dubbed "1% cake, 99% dedication." It is made by Pasteleria Manila, whose cake decorator painstakingly wrote the message for over one hour.

"Wala siyang bayad. Normal naman sa cake na may dedication," said Ces Lopez, the Pasteleria owner.

("It's free of charge. It's normal for a cake to have a dedication.")

She said, however, that she compensates the decorator for his efforts.

As to who the cake is for, JJ Paredes and his colleagues ordered it for their boss, Tristan Kabigting.

"Ang tagal bago siya ma-slice kasi parang nanghihinayang. Very skilled 'yung gumawa," Tristan said.

("It took awhile before it was sliced because it's sort of a waste. The decorator was very skilled.")

Here's an excerpt: "Sa aming pagbati, puso nami'y nagagalak. Sa pag-aala ng iyong kaarawan, kasiyahan mo ay tiyak."
