#RIPTwitter? Tumblr has got the funniest reactions

#RIPTwitter is the talk of the town Friday, with avid users figuring out where else they can take the fun, should things completely go south in the bird app.

Tumblr, that super popular micro-blogging platform from the 2010s, became one of the trending topics on Twitter Philippines, and its got the funniest reaction to the news.

The blogging platform simply tweeted a photo of a house with the sign “Welcome home cheater” written in all caps.

It can be remembered that Tumblr was among the most popular social media websites in the 2010s. A lot of users became inactive and even abandoned it completely when Yahoo! purchased it some time ago.

With the current developments in the bird app however, it looks like netizens are ready to move back to Tumblr.

In a follow-up post, Tumblr retweeted PopCrave's report that said the website was currently unavailable, and jokingly added, "hold up, like 12 new ppl joined. We're working on it. Give it a sec."

Among other trending websites were Discord, Gettr, and surprisingly, Friendster.

#RIPTwitter comes after the website’s new owner, Elon Musk, urged employees to agree to “long hours at high intensity,” or to leave the company altogether.
