Why is Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine trending?

Adam Levine has been on Twitter’s trending lists all through Tuesday, but for what reason?

The Maroon 5 frontman’s name is currently abuzz after model named Sumner Stroh revealed they allegedly had an affair. 

In the TikTok video, which now has 12 million views, Sumner said “I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model. You know, I was young, naive, and quite frankly, I feel exploited. I was easily very manipulated.”

In the video, she shared screenshots of their conversation, where Adam said, “It is truly unreal how fucking hot you are like it blows my mind.”

According to Sumner, their alleged affair lasted for "about a year." 

After they stopped talking, the singer reached out to her, asking if he can name his unborn child with wife Behati Prinsloo after her.

Adam’s message read: “Ok serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s [a] boy, I really wanna name it Sumner. You ok with that? Dead serious.”

In another TikTok video, Sumner said she decided to speak of this after a “friend” of hers attempted to sell screenshots of hers and Adam’s conversations to a tabloid. 

According to the Instagram model, Adam made her believe that he and Behati’s marriage was done.

“I was under the impression that their marriage was over. I believed that they were keeping it quiet to avoid the negative press,” she said, adding she was new to LA when it happened.

“That’s why I feel exploited because he knew I believed everything that he said cause of my vulnerable position of being new to LA,” she added.

Sumner said she “cut things off” with him after she realized that he was lying. She also took the time to apologize for the pain that Behati and her children might have been feeling.

“I wish I would’ve questioned things more, I wish I wasn’t so naive but you know, being naive is not an excuse for what I did, in the role I played in this,” she said.

“Again, in no way was I trying to gain sympathy and I fully realize I’m not the victim in this. I’m not the one really getting hurt here. It’s Behati and her children. And for that, I’m so so sorry.”

As of this writing, Adam and Behati are among the top trending topics on Philippine Twitter. No official statement has been released on the issue.
