‘Human drones’ take Instagram-worthy photos, videos in Siargao

When you are traveling in Siargao and realize you don’t have your camera drone with you, fear not—you can just ask help from the “human drones” of Siargao.

According to Oscar Oida’s “24 Oras” report on Monday, a group of bamboo straw sellers along Coconut Road have been helping tourists immortalize their trips on Instagram by taking shots of them drone-style.

As seen on the report, while tourists pose for photos, the human drones hold the phone or camera and record their moments in swift motion by zooming in and out and running from all directions.

“Nakakatuwa, may pagka-cinematic. Babagal, bibilis, tapos iikot bigla,” said tourist Duoi Ampilan.

The “human drones” said they did it just for fun and did not charge for it, but tourists had been generous with their tips.

“Katuwaan lang namin … Nag-train lang kami, mga pangit lang na cell phone. Hanggang sa nag-click, tinuloy-tuloy namin,” said bamboo straw seller Elimanco Jovanie.

“Sapat na po sa amin na napapasaya namin sila,” he added. – RC, GMA News
