'The Morning Rush' pulls an April fools joke, trends on Twitter
It's a joke, everyone.
The farewell announcement "The Morning Rush" made on social media late Thursday was just an April Fools joke.
On the radio show Friday, hosts Chicco Garcia, Markki Stroem, and Hazel Aguilon clarified it was just a prank.
"I was supposed to fake cry yesterday," Hazel said at one point on the show.
"Because of what we put you guys through, we'll keep our hotline open longer," she continued.
Incidentally the show's theme for Friday's episode was...#NilolokoMoKoEh.
On their personal Instagram accounts, Markki and Hazel posted messages of clarification.
Sharing a screen grab that showed #NilolokoMoKoEh in the 5th trending spot on Twitter, Markki said "Sorry na guys! We are not going to end the show. It's an April Foods Prank." He tagged the radio station, Monster RX93.1 and used the hashtag #TheMorningRush.
For her part, Hazel posted a video clip from inside the booth. Spice Girls' "Goodbye" was playing as she used an April Fools sticker.
The Morning Rush went viral late Thursday night when it announced it was saying goodbye farewell after 25 years.
It even said it will hold a farewell week from April 4-8.
Thankfully, it's just a joke guys! Or as netizens like to say these days, issa prank.
