Davao City student dedicates finished paper to deceased thesis partner

A college graduate from Davao City has dedicated to his deceased thesis partner their finished paper. 

As reported by Saleema Refran on “24 Oras” Friday, a now viral video shared by education student Jello Jalea showed him holding two hardbound books near the grave of his thesis partner Elvie Villanel.

Elvie was stabbed to death by her live-in partner because of jealousy.

“Promise ko sa kanya, pagkatapos na pagkatapos kong mapa-hardbound yon, pupunta ako sa puntod niya, sasabihing natapos na namin,” said Jello.

“Pinaghirapan po talaga namin ni Ate Elvie na mairaos ’yung thesis na ’yun,” he added.

Both of them were working students. During the day, Elvie worked a security guard at their school and at night, she stood as her class’ mom.

“Sisikapin at sisikapin po niyang makapag aral kahit mahirap,” said her thesis partner Jello.

“We love you, Teacher Elvie, and hanggang sa muli,” he said, holding back tears. “Mananatili ka sa puso at isip namin ng mga ka-major mo.” – RC, GMA News
