Filipino behind viral video of American giving directions in Tagalog says it’s ‘random, not practiced’

The Filipino who took the video of an American giving directions in Tagalog said the incident just happened and was not rehearsed at all.

In the now viral clip, Martin Dominic Casiano could be heard asking in Tagalog an American couple who just passed by where he could find free parking in the area.

To viewers’ surprise, the American answered back in Tagalog and gave him directions.

“It was random. They’re not really prepared to answer that,” Martin said on Oscar Oida’s “State of the Nation” report.

“Nagulat ako sinagot niya. Wala namang practice,” he added. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
