Lloyd Cadena's family conduct relief operations in Rizal
Lloyd Cadena's family is picking up where he left off, starting with providing relief goods to those affected by Typhoon Ulysses.
A new vlog was posted on Lloyd's YouTube channel and it showed his family packing 100 relief packs and distributing them in an evacuation center in Rizal.
"Naisipan namin na ipagpatuloy 'yung ginagawa ni Lloyd na mamahagi sa mga masalanta. Alam naman natin na simula noon na mahilig talaga mamahagi si Lloyd ng mga blessings, gusto namin ipagpatuloy 'yun," Lloyd's sister Suzette said.
She said that they had limited resources, but they were able to pack 100 bags of face masks, instant noodles, Milo, coffee, milk, sugar, canned goods, and rice.
"Hindi man namin mapantayan 'yung mga nagawa ni Lloyd gagawin namin 'yung best namin para matulungan kayo," Suzette said.
Rizal was one of the hardest hit areas when Typhoon Ulysses devastated Luzon. During the onslaught, residents in the town of Rodriguez cried for help from their rooftops as fast rising flood waters submerged their homes.
Some residents in San Mateo were forced to sleep on the roadside for days following the deadly storm.
Lloyd was a well-loved YouTube personality who passed away in September. He was 26.
It was later revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) shortly before his death. —JCB, GMA News
