Ex Battalion member Flow G, GF Angelica Yap contest plagiarism allegations vs Skusta Clee

Ex Battalion member Flow G and his girlfriend Angelica Yap have contested plagiarism allegations against Skusta Clee involving the BTS song "Ddaeng."

Skusta Clee has been the talk of Twitter after netizens noticed similarities between "Ddaeng" and Skusta Clee's song collabor with Flow G titled "Deym - 90's Gang" released in September.

On Facebook, rapper Flow G defended himself in a statement.

"Gumamit ako ng 'generic flow,' 'generic words,' at 'generic beat' na pinagawa ko kay Flip-D para sa promotion video ng sarili kong brand," Flow G wrote in the Facebook post.

"Sorry sa mga fans na ibang klase sumuporta sa mga idolo nila," he added.

Flow G said he can't blame the fans and that he understands how much support they have for their idols.

"Di ko kayo masisisi kung anong pumapasok sa isip nyo. Wag kayo mag alala naiintindihan ko kayo. Sana lahat ng tagahanga, ganyan sumuporta," he added.

In the comments section of the post, Flow G said he is not a fan of the South Korean boy group, but more than that, he is not a hater.

"Hindi ako fan ng BTS at mas lalong hindi ako HATER. Kaya yung mga comments against sa kanila, hindi ko yan kailangan dito. Labas na ko jan sa mga nararamdaman nyo," he wrote in the comments section of his own post.

Meanwhile, Flow G's girlfriend Angelica, who previously went viral after she became a meme as "Pastillas Girl," also issued a statement regarding the matter.

"Even tho I'm not a kpop fan, I truly respect and admire everyone that is," she wrote.

Angelica claims that they have never heard the song "Ddaeng" until the issue blew up.

"But for the record, 'Ddaeng' is a great song and I/we haven't heard it until now," she added. "I wish I/we had heard it sooner so we could've avoided this misunderstanding."

She said the situation has made her sad having witnessed the production of the song.

"This saddens my heart because I was there when they created the song from scratch
and I know deep in my core the similarity of the song is unintentional," she said. "We apologize if we offended some of you in any way."

Angelica said her boyfriend Flow G lost "a million-pose deal today because of this and that's okay."

"All respect for him on how he's handling everything positively. I just hope and pray that as human, may we never forget to still be compassionate to others and let the kindness in your hearts remain. God bless everyone," she ended her note.

In another tweet, Angelica said she believes it was not plagiarism but a mere coincidence.

K-pop fans have also accused him of plagiarizing Big Bang's"Bad Boy" for his track "'Wag Ka Nang Magalit."

"Ddaeng" was released by the South Korean boy band in 2018.

Skusta Clee's Facebook has been deactivated and his Twitter is still currently on private.
