Adele faces backlash for wearing Jamaican flag bikini, knot hairstyle as tribute to canceled carnival
Adele is facing online backlash over her choice of bikini and hairstyle in a photo she posted to mark the canceled Notting Hill Carnival.
In her Instagram post, the British singer wore a Jamaican flag bikini and Bantu knots whcih is a traditional African hairstyle.
“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London,” Adele wrote in the caption.

The post became a trending topic on Twitter early Monday morning as netizens accused Adele of cultural appropriation, as others defended her, while other still, were there to throw jokes around.
