Everything you need to know about that super viral Nike video

Over the weekend, netizens couldn't help but share that incredible Nike video, featuring a dynamic split screen of athletes in action.

Among Filipinos, "How in God's name did they do that?" Was the collective question. "Ang galing ng editor," the collective praise, and "nakakaiyak," the collective sentiment.

According to a press statement from Nike, the one-minute film called "You Can't Stop Us" featured a total of 24 sports and 53 athletes.

The split screen series detailed an incredible 36 pairings of athletes relating kinetic movement of one sport to another.

And to do that, they went through more than 4,000 pieces of footage, the statement said.

American football star and the 2019 Best FIFA women's player Megan Rapinoe narrated the whole thing.

Nike's film aims to deliver a message saying, the "closed gyms and empty stadiums haven't stopped athletes from pushing forward and using their platforms to help create change."

"Through those actions, sport shows us what an equal playing field looks like - and reminds us that a better future is possible," it added.

The video shows that "sport will always have the power to inspire and that the world has never stopped needing sport."

On YouTube, the video has over 7.6 million views as of writing.

"You Can't Stop Us" is the third chapter of the apparel's campaign with the same title. It was released on Friday to coincide with NBA's return. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
