Chris Evans rewards Captain America shield to boy who saved little sister from dog attack
It looks like we have a new Avenger!
A six-year-old boy from Wyoming saved his little sister's life by getting in between her and a charging dog, receiving 90 stitches for his sacrifice.
According to their aunt Nikki Walker, the boy, named Bridge, had declared: "If someone had to die, I thought it should be me."
His courageous act of course caught the attention of America's hero, Chris Evans.
The Captain America actor sent Bridge a video message, promising to send over an authentic Captain America shield.
"You're a hero. What you did was so brave, so selfless. Your sister was so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you," Evans said in the video.
"Keep being the man you are we need people like you," he added.
But that's not the end of it: he also got a phone call from Spider-Man actor Tom Holland!
It turns out that Spider-Man was his favorite hero, and he was actually watching "Spider-Man: Homecoming" when Holland called.
Holland told Bridge, "You are so brave, mate, and we are all so proud of you, and your little sister is s lucky to have someone like you."
The actor then extended a generous invitation to his young fan.
"We're going to be shooting Spider-Man 3, and if you ever want to come on set and hang out and see the Spider-Man suit up close, and hang out with us, you're always welcome. You'll always be my guest," he said.
With these two popular heroes commending him, Bridge "over the moon," his aunt said.
However, she hinted that it's hardly the end yet.
"Can’t wait to show him what’s next: a message from some guy who doesn’t like bullies. Gotta wait for the stardust to clear from his eyes first, though," she said.
