NASA uses Pinay singer Reese Lansangan’s song in new campaign
The United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Adminitration (NASA) is using Pinay singer Reese Lansangan’s “A Song About Space” in their new campaign that “introduces a new era of spaceflight.”
Reese shared in a tweet on Wednesday that she was “over the moon” when NASA chose the song she wrote seven years ago about space and exploration.
She said: “I am OVER the moon (pun intended) and I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. Here’s to endless discovery (& the hope that my music makes it to the ISS [International Space Station] too!)”

According to NASA, their new campaign #LaunchAmerica supports astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley as they prepare to fly on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft on May 27 in Florida.
This would be the “first time a commercially built and operated American rocket and spacecraft will carry humans to the space station,” said NASA.
As NASA waits for the astronauts’ take off, it’s been actively seeking out fans of outer space to be featured in their campaign videos.
The launch, as well as other activities leading to the launch, will air on NASA’s website. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
