Marcelito Pomoy uses YouTube earnings to help a family build a house

Marcelito Pomoy has helped out a family in need by providing them construction materials so they can build a house.

In his latest vlog, the "America's Got Talent: The Champions" third runner-up said he used his earnings from his YouTube channel to buy the materials.

Pomoy said he had come across a Facebook post about Nanay Nelia and her son Ismeraldo Collante, who used to have no home at all. The neighbors in the area had worked together to build them a tiny house, but couldn't finish it due to lack of resources.

Touched, Pomoy headed over to Nanay Nelia and surprised her with a donation of coco lumber for the house's flooring, plywood for the walls, iron nails, and a steel roof.

The singer thanked Aira Capanas, the netizen who posted about Nanay Nelia's situation.

"Noong nakita ko 'yung pinost mo sa Facebook, naantig ang puso ko. Wala akong dalawang isip na tulungan ang mag-inang ito," he told her.

Nelia's son, Ismeraldo, meanwhile expressed his gratitude for the generosity.

"Malaking tulong po ito para sa amin, maraming maraming salamat po," he said.

Pomoy's vlog raked in a lot of views, and he said he plans to use the earnings to help another grandmother get a house.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, "Who would have thought that my simple way of helping by building a house for Nanay Aurora can gain a lot of views in Youtube and earn profit."

"And because of you who subscribe and keep on watching my vlog about nanay Aurora... now I can help another grandmother provide construction materials for her house," he added.

Pomoy made a name for himself after winning third runner-up in "America's Got Talent: The Champions."

The winner of the popular American talent show was an India-based dance crew called V Unbeatable.
