4 things we learned about Rose from '90 Day Fiance,' based on her vlog
If you've been browsing through social media platforms lately, you've probably already heard about Big Ed and Rose from "90 Day Fiance."
In the reality show, Big Ed flies to the Philippines from the US to pursue a relationship with Rose, who resides in Caloocan City.
But it was Rose who was a big hit on social media after clips of their disastrous moments on the show went viral. People especially loved her facial expressions and deadpan one-liners, making numerous memes about her and dubbing her as a "big mood."
Egged on by her sudden popularity, Rose created a YouTube channel and this is what we learned from her first ever vlog:
1. She's a single mother
Rose has a 4-year-old son named Prince whom she raises by herself.
"Ang bukod tanging nagpapasaya sakin ay walang iba kundi si Prince siya ang nag-iisa kong anak na meron ako na mahal na mahal na mahal ko," she said in the video.
She also commended her fellow single mothers in her debut vlog.
"Proud ako sa inyo, sobrang proud na proud na proud ako sainyo kasi nakakaya niyong itaguyod ang sarili niyong anak mag-isa bilang isang ina ata ama," she said.
2. She will do anything for her child
Rose said she will do anything for her son Prince no matter how difficult it gets.
"Kung ano ang makakaya ko ibigay ko 'yung the best ko na makakaya ko gagawin ko, hindi ko alam paano ko siya gagawin pero lahat ng makakaya ko bilang isang ina ay gagawin ko," she said.
Prince was actually a bone of contention between Rose and Ed. At some point, they had a big dramatic fight because Rose was tight-lipped and defensive about details of her son and past partners.
3. She is cheerful and down-to-earth
At the start of the vlog, Rose could be seen laughing, saying she's having a hard time speaking English and wondering if she can speak Bisaya instead.
As she speaks throughout the video, we get to know a Rose that was a lot more cheerful and energetic than how she seemed at "90 Day Fiance."
And apparently, she loves watching anything motivational.
"Ang hobby ko ay manuod ng mga motivational quotes, movies, motivational actions, 'yung may matututunan ako about future, about life and maging always positibo sa buhay," she said.
4. She is God-fearing
Rose advised fellow single moms to trust God when they go through difficult times.
"Siya ang makakaalam lahat ng bagay na meron ka lahat ng bagay na mangyayare sayo," she said.
At the latter part of the video, Rose said her favorite Bible verse is James 4:10, "Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up."
For her succeeding vlogs, Rose said she will be sharing more about her life and the struggles she had to go through that had turned her into the strong woman she is today.
Just a few days after launching her YouTube channel, Rose already garnered more than 54,000 subscribers, with over 394,000 views for her first vlog entry. Some of the episodes can be streamed on 90 Day Fiance's Facebook page.
