Meet Chi-Chi, Manila’s first ‘frontliner animal’
A dog named Chi-Chi has been dubbed the “first animal frontliner” of Manila.
According to owner Jake Ryan Ramos, his furry friend has been accompanying officials of Barangay 379 as they made their daily patrol.
Chi-chi even has her own ID signed by the punong barangay, certifying that she’s a “barangay dog frontliner.”
Chi-Chi was a stray dog who was adopted by a barangay official, Isa Umali of Super Radyo dzBB reports.
Ayon kay Brgy. 379 Chairwoman Ruby Viasanta, asong-gala noon si Chi-Chi. Nasagip siya ng isang tanod, hanggang sa lagi nang nakakasama sa mga tanod sa pag-iikot sa barangay. @dzbb

Chi-Chi is not the only “frontliner dog” recognized by her barangay during the implementation of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
There's Ligaw, who was given his own quarantine pass after accompanying barangay officials as they gave out relief goods in Sampaloc.
And then there's Wacky, who has also been reminding residents in Pasay to #StaySafe and StayAtHome as he accompanied barangay officials around town.
