'Frontliner' dog accompanies officials patrolling Pasay barangay amid quarantine
Netizens are applauding this barangay police dog who has been helping out officials in the frontlines amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
Volunteer worker Perlita Hermanos Saldo shared photos of the dog, named Wacky, who accompanied officials as they handed out relief goods and secured the area in Barangay 132 M. Dela Cruz in Pasay City.
Wacky even wears an ID that proudly declares him, Wacky del Rosario, as a barangay police dog, with the message "#StaySafe" and "StayAtHome."
He was even wearing a facemask!
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon is currently placed under enhanced community quarantine to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
President Rodrigo Duterte has just extended the ECQ Metro Manila, Central Luzon and CALABARZON, and other high-risk areas until May 15.
