'Frontliner' dog gets own quarantine pass, accompanies officials in relief operations
Netizens are fawning over this dog named "Ligaw," who was spotted accompanying barangay officials as they were giving out relief goods in Sampaloc, Manila.
As seen in photos shared by Dave Manzano Fuentes, the four-legged "frontliner" was even wearing his own quarantine pass with his name on it.
In his post, Fuentes said Ligaw was a stray dog who was adopted by their barangay’s chairman, Edmond dela Paz.
Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine until April 30 in a bid to arrest the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
To implement the quarantine, barangays started to use quarantine passes that are to be carried by residents who need to step out to buy food or supplies.
Metro Manila local government units also imposed curfews in their localities.
