Gal Gadot shares powerful, star-studded cover of ‘Imagine’ amid COVID-19 scare
Gal Gadot and her celebrity friends attempted to lift people's spirits amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
In an incredibly star-studded song cover posted on her Instagram, the “Wonder Woman” star sang the first line of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” followed by a number of Hollywood actors including Natalie Portman ("Black Swan"), Mark Ruffalo ("Avengers"), and Amy Adams ("Woman in the Window").
Also in the video were comedians Will Ferrel, Kristen Wiig, and Sarah Silverman, as well as late night host Jimmy Fallon, singer Sia and supermodel Cara Delevingne.
Gal explained that she chose the song for its "powerful and pure" message of unity.
She was also inspired by a video of an Italian man playing the same song on his trumpet on his balcony as the country implemented strict home quarantine measures amid the coronavirus pandemic.
