Here's a heartbreaking photo of a balut vendor trying to make a living amid community quarantine
A balut vendor was seen roaming an empty street in Malabon on Monday night in an effort to make a living amid the implemented community quarantine.
According to YouScooper Jon delos Reyes, he saw the balut vendor pushing his cart along General Luna Street, Brgy. Baritan in Malabon at 8:29 p.m. last night despite the lack of customers outside.
His heart broke for the vendor, shared delos Reyes, who obviously lost so many customers as an effect of the quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
In a televised address from Malacanang, President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Monday that there will be an enhanced community quarantine in Luzon to combat the outbreak.
Under this condition, strict home quarantine will be implemented in all households, transportation will be suspended and provision for food and essential health services will be regulated.
The enhanced community quarantine will take into effect on Tuesday, March 17, until April 12. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
