Concerned citizens send food packs, face masks, coffee to healthcare workers amid COVID-19 threat
Several concerned individuals and establishments showed their appreciation for healthcare workers who are at the frontline of the country's response to the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In Mav Gonzales' report for "24 Oras," doctors and nurses from selected hospitals in Metro Manila received food packs with hot meals, cups of coffee, vitamins, and face masks from kind-hearted citizens.
Chuck Araneta, who treated several healthcare workers to a cup of coffee, said it is one way of helping our fellow people in this time of crisis.
"Hindi nila kailangan ng recognition. 'Yung gusto lang nila ay malaman na may mga nag-aalala sa kanila at may nagpapasalamat sa ginagawa nila," he said.
A cup of coffee ? a day helps in the fight against Covid-19 everyday!!!!

Some packages came with simple messages of gratitude to those who are working hard to help the patients and contain the virus.
"Thank you for being our real life heroes," and "Thank you for sacrificing for the sick," some read.
