Unang Hirit surprised everybody with a special Sunday coverage on COVID-19 and netizens were pleased
Unang Hirit went on air Sunday morning for a special COVID-19 coverage, surprising netizens, who, after their initial shock — hindi pala Monday today! — were all too happy for an extra dose of sober information.
The GMA News reporters who shed light on the issue and went on duty for Unang Hirit's Sunday episode included Arnold Clavio, Ivan Mayrina, Susan Enriquez, Mariz Umali and Connie Sison.
The long-standing GMA morning show tackled all the important issues — community quarantine guidelines, that so-called 'curfew', the number of COVID-19 cases, deaths even — which netizens seem to appreciate.
Unang Hirit not only trended on Twitter — it was number 1 trending topic on Philippine Twitter.
