Netizens had hilarious reactions to Tita Mel being 'stranded' while reporting on Taal volcano eruption
Since Taal volcano erupted on January 12, GMA News has been reporting on the volcanic eruption with its state-of-the-art simulations.
Last Wednesday, the "24 Oras" studio was transformed into the Taal Lake with the volcano right beside GMA News Pillar Mel Tiangco. The image of the volcano could be seen emitting clouds of dark smoke as lightning struck the crater repeatedly, all while Tita Mel reported on the side.
Aside from being impressed by the imagery, netizens also took notice of Tita Mel's situation.
An almost realistic visualization of what catastrophe that #TaalErruption2020 could potentially bring. Not to mention that the occurring event is already a terrible disaster.

Popular page PGAG requested that the anchor be given an N95 mask amidst the volcano's eruption.
Netizen @JaniComeLately even said, "Hoy GMA, ilikas nyo na si Tita Mel dyan grabe kayo!"

Another expressed "alarm" over Tita Mel being abandoned.

Many others also tweeted their concern for Mel's presence near Taal volcano.
Back in 2018, Tita Mel was also the topic of "concern" for many netizens after the studio was transformed into a flood zone.
For all concerned netizens out there, don't worry. Mel Tiangco is nowhere near Taal Volcano's danger zone and is completely safe and sound, just like the rest of all GMA News reporters tirelessly covering Taal volcano's activity.
