The Philippines is the 5th country that tweets the most about K-pop in the world
It is no secret that there are many KPop Filipino fans in the country, and Twitter's year-end data confirms exactly that.
According to a press statement from the social media channel, the Philippines was recognized as the fifth country that tweeted the most about K-pop related content last year.
Thailand landed on the Top spot, followed by South Korea, Indonesia, United States and then the Philippines.
In 2019, KPop conversations on Twitter reached a record-high with 6.1B tweets. Twitter noted that this was a fifteen percent increase from 2018.
The most retweeted Tweet, or fondly called as the "Golden Tweet," was from the popular South Korean Boy Band group BTS.
EXO and GOT7 also dominated the global list as the second and third most discussed KPop accounts on the microblogging and social networking site.
