#UH20 trends on Twitter as 'Unang Hirit' celebrates 20th anniversary

The hashtag for Unang Hirit's Friday episode trended on Twitter as the morning show celebrated its 20th anniversary.

In the Philippines' trending list, #UH20 reached the Top 2 spot.

For its anniversary special, the show pulled out all the stops, serving a mixture of excitement and nostalgia for its viewers.

Former hosts Paolo Bediones and Hanz Montenegro reunited with the Unang Hirit barkada, and even Rhea Santos got in touch via video call, live from Canada.

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte dropped by the studio, while Manila Mayor Isko Moreno joined the celebrations through a video call.

There was also a dance performance by "Hipon Girl" Herlene, and a song performance by the beloved duo Rita Daniela and Ken Chan.
