The ‘boy who loves to study’ has graduated elementary

Remember Daniel Cabrera? In 2015, he went viral after a photo of him studying outside on the streets, under the light of a McDonalds store in Cebu touched the hearts of netizens.

We’re reminding you of Daniel because has graduated elementary, woohoo!
McDonalds shared the good news, posting a photo of a very happy Daniel holding is certificate.

Congratulations, Daniel!

Immediately after he went viral, Daniel, who was in the second grade then, received financial support from different donors — enough to support him until high school.

A year later, Daniel reunited with the uploader of his photo, Joyce Torrefranca, and had advanced a grade. He remained in the Top 10 of his class.
