Mariel De Leon poses as first-ever FHM Muse

While the magazine is no longer available in newsstands, FHM continues to bring the sexy to its fans.

The magazine tapped Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 Mariel De Leon in an online feature called FHM Muse — "a monthly series that puts the spotlight on your favorite female celebrities—all of them alluring, intelligent, and beaming with personality."

In the feature, Mariel spoke about the social media storm that she found herself part of after her criticism of the rising death toll in the government's drug war, which drew rebukes from prominent administration personalities including Communications Asec. Mocha Uson and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

"Growing up, I've always had my own opnion [and it would sometimes be] different from the popular opinion," she said in the FHM interview.

She also addressed how she handled the body-shaming from critics, and how the experience continues to shape her perspective. —JST, GMA News
