Embassy of Sweden in Manila pokes fun at ‘Norwegia’

On Facebook Tuesday, the Embassy of Sweden in Manila posted about their World Cup match against Switzerland, inviting their followers to watch the game.

In an effort to be more informative, the diplomatic office posted an image “for those who easily get confused between #Sweden and #Switzerland.”

But in an unexpected and usual move, the embassy showed some humor by adding a fun little trivia number.

“They are both nowhere near #Norwegia,” its announcement read, throwing shade at the recent gaffe of the Presidential Communications and Operations Office.

In June, the PCOO posted about Durterte’s meeting with an envoy from “Norwegia” to mean Norway. Netizens noticed and could not get over the flub which joins 'Lei reangle' mixup courtesy of the Philippine News Agency.
