What is 'Pitu' and why are netizens going crazy over it?

Ever dreamed of becoming a Chinese royalty, or wondered what you would look like if you were part of the "Game of Thrones" cast? It seems like everybody's wondering the same because look: They're all on Pitu — at least the 10 million who downloaded the app on Google Play.

Pitu is a picture-editing app that modifies your pictures into well-known characters, from animes, babies, or even gods and goddesses, a report on Unang Balita said.

And over the weekend, netizens went crazy over the new mobile app. 

Pitu has endless editing features from making simple edits, creating GIFs and montages but if you want to join the trend and re-imagine yourself as someone else, choose the "Crazy Ex-Face Feature," take a photo of yourself and choose which character you would like to put your face in.

Even Eat Bulaga Dabarkads Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros have tried using the app.

Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas also joined the craze and decided to put her face on a Japanese woman wearing a kimono.
