Whether it is or it isn't, the important thing is it's a hit for Filipino Swifties.

The hashtag #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo topped Philippine and Worldwide trends midday Friday as Taylor Swift released the first single from her sixth album.

The lyric video for "Look What You Made Me Do" signaled a departure from the fun Taytay from "Shake It Off" and goes darker than "Bad Blood."

Swift puts it bluntly: "No, I don't like you."

Swift also addressed her recent social media wipe in the lyrics: "I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, 'cause she's dead!"

The video features the visuals of snakes, which flooded Swift's social media after her split with Calvin Harris.

The symbol was also used by fans of Kim Kardashian West against Swift after the feud between Swift and Kanye West reignited over the lyrics of his song "Famous."
