Ronaldo Valdez sworn in as the new Filipino Colonel Sanders

Fast food chain KFC revealed that veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez is the first Filipino Colonel Sanders in a video post on its Facebook page on Monday.

The latest video came days after a viral video showing veteran actors Ronaldo Valdez, Leo Martinez, and Pen Medina auditioning for the role.

In the most recent video, Valdez is shown taking his oath as the famous Colonel among hundreds of people holding fried chicken legs and buckets of even more fried chicken.

“I, the Colonel do solemnly swear to fulfill my duties to the best of my ability. I promise to uphold the fresh, hand-breaded quality in each piece of KFC original recipe chicken. Because in KFC, all parts are created equal," he said.

He added, "I promise to protect the 11 secret herbs and spices that make my fried chicken unique in all the land. I pledge to push the boundaries of fried chicken innovation and lead the for this nation of fried chicken lovers. So help me gravy! ”

Pen Medina and Leo Martinez also appeared in the latest video, watching Ronaldo take his oath on TV.
