Google launches year-long #lovephilippines campaign

Google Philippines on Monday — National Heroes Day — launched its year-long social media campaign #LovePhilippines in efforts to put the spotlight on Filipino culture and its people.

Under the campaign, Google will post "interesting tidbits" about the country, its culture, and its people. The posts will be made available on Google's social media accounts.

"Let's celebrate the Philippines everyday! Please spread the #Love for our mother land with pride and honor so others will know more about us too," it said.

In its first post, Google uploaded a video tutorial on how to make minatamis na santol, said to be the favorite dessert of Filipino hero Jose Rizal.
