Alison Gold's 'Chinese Food' is the new 'Friday'

If you thought Rebecca Black's "Friday" was an earworm of a song, then you've got another think coming.

"I like their egg rolls / And their wonton soup / This makes me feel so so good / Fortune cookies, tell my future / Chinese Chinese Food!"

With profoundly deep lyrics like that, how could you possibly go wrong?

Twelve-year-old Alison Gold certainly didn't. Her song "Chinese Food" is now a viral sensation, with over 8 million hits under its kung-fu belt in the four short days since it was posted on YouTube.

The video is a techno beat-filled chopsuey dish in itself, with all sorts of disconnected elements including rainbows, geishas, and a guy in a panda suit:

The similarity to Rebecca Black's "Friday" isn't coincidental: "Chinese Food" was written, produced, and guest-starred in by Patrice Wilson—the same guy behind Rebecca Black's Friday.
