Pawsitive Strides: Run for the Homeless Tails

In a world where countless stray and abandoned animals struggle to survive, it is our collective responsibility to advocate for their welfare and protection. Recognizing this urgent cause, Jose Rizal University, 4th Year Tourism Management Student under the MICE EVENT Program and in collaboration with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), proudly presents "Pawsitive Strides: Run for the Homeless Tails." This charitable fun run, scheduled for March 30, 2025, from 3:30 AM to 7:00 AM at Jose Rizal University, is more than just a race—it is a movement of compassion, unity, and purposeful action.

As an institution that values social responsibility, Jose Rizal University recognizes the importance of promoting humane treatment and care for animals in need. This event will not only encourage physical wellness and community engagement but will also serve as a platform to raise awareness about the plight of stray and abandoned animals in the country.

Through this initiative, all proceeds and donations will directly benefit PAWS (Philippines Animal Welfare Society) an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and welfare of animals through rescue operations, rehabilitation programs, and adoption campaigns. The support from this event will help provide shelter, medical assistance, and essential care for rescued animals, ensuring they receive a second chance at life in loving homes.

Participants will have the opportunity to run alongside JRU athletes, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship and advocacy.
