PSFAAI to hold 4th Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan Golf Cup in Orchard Golf on August 12

The Pi Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association, Inc. (“PSFAAI”) will hold the 4th Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan Golf Cup on 12 August 2024 at the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

PSFAAI Chair Engr. Jose Rey S. Batomalaque said that the golf tourney is part of the 52nd Founding Anniversary activities of the Pi Sigma Fraternity, which was formed in the University of the Philippines in Diliman on 15 August 1972. Fueled by its twin principles of Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan and Paragon of Scholarship, the Pi Sigma Fraternity has established itself as a national organization with thousands of members nationwide.

“We expect more than 140 participants in the 4th staging of the Paglingkuran ang Sambayanan Golf Cup composed not only of members of our fraternity but also of our sponsors, golfing friends and colleagues, Orchard Golf Club members and UP Barkada members, added Engr. Batomalaque.

Golf Committee Chair Dan P. Calica expressed gratitude to the outpouring of support for the event, the net proceeds of which will fund socially-relevant activities of the PSFAAI, including its scholarship and leadership training programs.

Orchard Golf and Country Club will host anew the tournament, which will be played in its scenic yet challenging Palmer Course.

Exciting prizes will be given to those who can score a Hole-in-One in Hole Nos. 5, 7, 12 and 16 of the Palmer Course of Orchard Golf.

The tournament will employ the System 36 scoring system and will have a Shotgun Start at 8:00 am. Registration will be from 5:45 am to 7:30 am. There will be Men’s and Women’s Divisions and trophies will be awarded to the winners. There will be a team event involving members of UP Barkada, which is composed of alumni associations of various fraternities from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
