Bataan High School For The Arts is in search of gifted and talented scholars

The Bataan High School for the Arts (BHSA) -- located by the entrance to the world-class Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan -- is looking for gifted and talented students for School Year 2021-2022.

All applicants must be bona fide residents of Region 3 that includes not only Bataan but Aurora, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales; upcoming Grade 7 student; and not older than 14 years old upon enrolment on or before 6 September.

Aside from free tuition fee, privileges such as free board and lodging, gadget or learning device, classes under arts faculty and experts; and travel opportunities to represent the school, the region, and the country are expected.

Full scholarship will be given to students who will pass the B.H.S.A. Entrance Screening Test (B.E.S.T.):

• Creative Writing, please submit six (6) samples of written works or any combination of poetry or prose (stories, essays, plays, etc.) in Filipino or English;
• Dance, submit video of dance performance in either Ballet or Folk Dance;
• Media Arts, please submit at least three (3) to five (5) produced short documentary or feature film or video; 
• Music, please submit video performance of his/her singing classical or kundiman or any song of choice and/or playing musical instrument of any Italian song from 7th century or Broadway or any musical;
• Theater, please submit a video of three-minute acting performance or musical presentation;
• Visual Arts, please submit at least five samples of produced artworks.
