Stay on top of your health with the latest news from Pru Life UK’s all-in-one app, Pulse

The ‘new normal’ poses a lot of challenges with the way people manage their health and lifestyle. Given this reality, Filipinos need more ways to protect themselves, and prevent and postpone the onset of diseases while maintaining a healthy holistic wellbeing.

Recently, leading life insurer Pru Life UK updated its all-in-one AI-powered app, Pulse, with a refreshed Health Awareness Content feature. It shares health and lifestyle tips and reminders to guide users in maximizing their health and wellness practices.

“Pru Life UK values the importance of helping Filipinos in their health journey by providing them resources to monitor their body and lifestyle. We are able to do that with Pulse app which is now even more robust and relevant with Health Awareness Content feature,” says Pru Life UK Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Marketing Officer Allan Tumbaga.

Health tips on the go

Health Awareness Content includes a Health Awareness Channel that shows a variety of health articles which users can like or comment on. Some of the topics cover mental health (taking deep breaths as key in calming the mind), parenting lifestyle (quick and healthy snacks for kids), preventive health (perks of telemedicine), and keeping fit (steps on how to motivate your family to work out).

Aside from these, Health Awareness Content also shares relevant health information on other channels. First, it has the Global Events & Occasions channel which raises awareness for relevant health events. Next is the COVID-19 channel which shares specific news about the pandemic. Lastly, the News & Communications channel shares Pru Life UK or Pulse-related announcements and newsletters.

More features within the super app

Pulse further introduces more free features in its latest update. It has Wellness Goals and Habits which gives users fitness challenges to become closer to their health goals. It is complemented by My Communities, a feature that connects users who are achieving the same goal via a forum where they could share ideas, experiences, or best practices.

These features boost the app’s capabilities on top of Healthcheck, Symptom Checker, BMI Recorder, Wrinkle Mirror, and Hospital Locator.

Meanwhile, Filipinos may still benefit from the free COVID-19 coverage with personal accident insurance in Pulse to protect themselves from COVID-19. The freemium is available until July 15 to registered Pulse app users.

“Our continuous effort to update the app and introduce new features, such as Health Awareness Content, Wellness Goals and Habits, and My Communities is part of our stronger We DO Health and We DO Innovation commitments to support more Filipinos in their health journey,” adds Tumbaga.

Pulse is available in the Philippines and can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android devices.
