Dobol B sa News TV marks first year

GMA News TV newscast show, Dobol B sa News TV, celebrated its first year of bringing news to viewers.

In a 24 Oras report on Friday, anchors Mike Enriquez, Ali Sotto, Arnold Clavio, Joel Reyes-Zobel thanked their listeners and promised them responsible reporting in the years to come.

"Mas lalo naming pag-iigihin, mas lalo po kaming magpapaligaya sa mga nanonood at nakikinig po sa amin," Sotto said at a press conference.

"Humbling experience na kami ay lumalabas sa telebisyon dahil lalo kaming nagiging responsable sa aming mga sinasabi, sa aming mga ginagawa," Reyes-Zobel added.

The team were praised for their chemistry-powered rapport, which they said was not only reserved for when they were on air.

To prove it,  Clavio and Sotto finished each other's sentences in saying: "Mahal namin 'yung ginagawa namin...Mahal namin ang isa't isa...Kaya minamahal din kami ng trabaho,"

For Mike Enriquez, heralding news to their pool of listeners was definitely worth waking up at 4 a.m. every day for a year.

"Maraming nakikinig at nanonood, maraming napapaligaya. Marami kaming nahahatiran ng balita, du'n lang, 'yung paggising mo ng alas-kuwatro ng madaling araw, sulit na eh. Nag-eenjoy lang kami," he said.

Dobol B sa News TV, which made its TV debut on April 24, simulcasts with its sister radio station Super Radyo DZBB, the leading AM radio station in Mega Manila. — Margaret Claire Layug/BAP, GMA News
