DLSU recognizes 16th batch of Star Scholars

The 16th batch of Star Scholars.

De La Salle University hosted the Star Scholars recognition program last August 28 at the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall. University administrators led by OIC President and Chancellor Br. Dennis Magbanua FSC welcomed the scholars and their parents. Twelve scholars were honored this year.

Each Star Scholar enjoys a full undergraduate and graduate scholarship, an iPad mini, and a modest monthly stipend that covers allowances and accommodation subsidies. In addition, the scholars will have the option to enroll in two language courses offered by the University.

Star Scholars will also be mentored by University Fellows and get special career placement opportunities upon graduation. To foster personal growth, Star Scholars will undergo the Achieving through Integrated Mentoring Program through which the University ensures the maximum development of their potentials and offers a support mechanism to facilitate their socio-emotional and spiritual development.

The Star Scholars Program is the most comprehensive scholarship program in the country today. All grantees were screened through a rigorous process and were among the top 100 examinees of the DLSU College Admissions Test (DLSU CAT).
