GMA Kapuso Foundation receives P8 million from JGC Corporation

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), the socio-civic arm of GMA Network, received a combined P8 million cash donation from Japanese construction company JGC Corporation (P5M from JGC Japan and P3M from JGC Philippines) for its ongoing relief efforts for victims of Supertyphoon Yolanda.
 
Leading the turnover of the donation were (from left) JGC Philippines, Inc.’s Akihito Kurata (Treasurer and Senior Vice President), Lolet C. Faller (Division Manager, Corporate Administration Division) and Shigeru Hanajima (President/CEO) together with GMAKF EVP and COO Mel C. Tiangco and GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.
 
The Foundation has been at the forefront of relief operations in areas affected by the recent tragedy that struck central Philippines reaching out to over 279,760 individuals. As of November 27, it has received P166,909,040.95 worth of cash donations and P28,464,622.78 worth of in-kind donations, or a combined total of P195,373,663.73.
