PCW launches poster-making contest for 18-day campaign to end VAW
The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) is inviting high school students to join a poster-making contest which aims to raise awareness on Violence Against Women (VAW).
The contest, which runs from October 21 to November 21, 2013, is open to both public and private high school students in Metro Manila.
Said poster making contest is part of the PCW's calendar activities, in line with this year's observation of 18-day Campaign to End VAW on November 25 to December 12.
Entries must depict the theme "End VAW Now! It's Our Duty" that underscores the crucial role of duty-bearers in eliminating Violence Against Women and Children.
The artwork must be all original and hand-drawn using crayon, paint, regular or colored pencil, water color, oil pastel, acryclic, or any combination.
Complete contest mechanics can be found on the PCW website.
Participating entries will be showcased in a 3-day exhibit at SM City Sta. Mesa on December 10-12.
Should you have questions regarding the said contest, you may reach Information Resource Management Division (IRMD) at 735-8509 or 735-1654 local 131 or email irmd@pcw.gov.ph.
