Have your pets blessed at Eastwood City’s Annual Pet Blessing

Eastwood City, in partnership with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), invites all pet owners to have their beloved companions blessed at its Annual Pet Blessing ceremony to be held this coming October 6.

Pet owners looking to take part in this celebration of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, can drop by the different registration booths located around Eastwood Mall and the mall’s Open Park to register.

Registration starts at 10AM and is free of charge. Pet owners just need to bring their pet’s latest vaccination papers to secure a pet pass and register for the blessing.

“Eastwood City’s Pet Blessing is just one of the many ways in which we show our genuine affection and compassion for the animals. This year, we will be giving pet owners a pet blessing certificate to make this once in a lifetime experience even more memorable for them and their companions,” said Megaworld First Vice President and Commercial Division Head Kevin L. Tan.
Pet owners are encouraged to come as early as 4pm, so they can join the procession of the image of St. Francis of Assisi around Eastwood City, which will take place prior to the pet blessing.

Meanwhile, those who will not make it to the procession can enjoy a variety show that will feature fun and exciting games as well as live performances from guest artists.


Highlighting the show are the special awards that will be given out to select pets such as the Early Bird Award (the first to register), Best Dressed Award (the most fashionable), Head Turner Award (the most unique), Life of the Party Award (the most active and compelling) and Star of the Night (the most adorable). Those looking to vie for one of the awards are invited to put extra effort to dress up their pets so they can win.


Now on its 9th year, Eastwood City’s Annual Pet Blessing is among the most highly-anticipated pet events of the year. Since 2004, thousands of pet owners from different parts of Metro Manila including celebrities and notable personalities flock to this annual celebration every year, taking advantage of the opportunity to have their pets blessed by a Catholic priest and become a part of their Christian life.
