Inamin ni Sheryl Cruz na nagkaroon siya ng tampo noon kay Anjo Yllana nang mag-propose ito sa kaniya pero hindi nauwi sa kasal. Ano nga kaya ang dahilan na hindi sila nagkatuluyan?
"Actually, nagtampo ako sa kaniya noon because… he asked for my hand in marriage that time before I left for the States and decided to actually try it there," saad ni Sheryl sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” nitong Huwebes.
Tinanggap na ni Sheryl ang proposal ni Anjo. Ngunit kalaunan, natuklasan niyang may nabuntis ito.
"He asked for my hand in marriage, and I said yes. And then I found out na he got somebody pregnant, so kahit papaano 'di ba, he broke my heart," anang singer-actress.
Isinantabi na ito ni Sheryl ngayon at sinabi niyang mabuti silang magkaibigan ni Anjo.
“That’s already water under the bridge. We’re good friends,” sabi niya.
Noong magpunta sa States, doon niya nakilala ang kaniyang unang asawa na si Norman Bustos.
Gayunman, nag-file para sa diborsyo ang mag-asawa noong 2008.
Matapos nito, ikinuwento ni Sheryl na sinubukan nila ni Anjo na magkabalikan.
"It was actually amazing because by the time I went back here sa Philippines, I, myself, got separated and divorced. And then nagkaroon kami ng moment wherein we were able to see each other again and we were able to catch up on things and tried to, I guess have another go at it," sabi niya.
Inilahad ni Sheryl na hinangaan niya si Anjo dahil sa pagiging mabuting ama nito.
"Ayos naman 'yung mga anak niya. Same thing naman for me? If you really didn't quite work out with your relationship, then it doesn't mean that you cannot be a good parent," sabi niya.
