Sinabi ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte na kinumpirma sa kaniya ng kaniyang ama na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na tatakbo itong bise presidente sa Eleksyon 2022, at katambal bilang kandidatong pangulo si Senador Christopher "Bong" Go.

"The President, very recently, personally confirmed to me that he will run for Vice President and Senator Go as President," ayon sa alkalde sa inilabas na pahayag nitong Miyerkules.

"It was not a pleasant event," sabi pa ni Sara.

Ayon sa alkalde, dalawang sulat ang iniwan sa kaniya para pag-aralan.

"One note explained why I should endorse the Go-Duterte tandem and the other suggested that I take in Senator Go as my Vice President," patuloy ng alkalde.

Sinabi pa ni Sara na dapat isapubliko ng kaniyang ama at ni Go ang kanilang plano.

"If they can confirm it privately, then I do not see the reason why they cannot be candid about it to the public. They should simply present to the people what they can offer to our country and how they can help our fellow Filipinos," paliwanag niya.

Hiniling din niya sa kaniyang ama at kay Go na huwag na siyang isama sa mga pahayag patungkol sa kanilang plano kung tatakbo o hindi sa eleksyon.

Samantala, sinabi ni Go na patuloy siyang nakatutok sa kaniyang tungkulin bilang senador.

"Nakatutok ako sa aking tungkuling bilang senador upang tulungan ang bansa na malampasan ang krisis na ating kinakaharap. Bakuna muna bago ang pulitika," pahayag ni Go sa Unang Balita nitong Miyerkules.

Pero dati na niyang sinabi na tatakbo siyang presidente kung katambal niya si Pres. Duterte.

Ginawa ni Sara ang pahayag, isang araw matapos sabihin ni Duterte sa taped public address na tatakbo siyang bise presidente sa 2022 elections.

Pero hindi umano naisama at na-edit sa telebisyon ang pahayag ni Duterte tungkol sa kondisyon na hindi sila tutuloy kapag tumakbong pangulo si Sara, ayon kay presidential spokesperson Harry Roque nitong Miyerkules.

GULO SA PDP-LABAN

Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Sara sa kaniyang pahayag, na hindi rin siya ang dapat sisihin nina Senador Koko Pimentel at Ronwald Munsayac, kung bakit nagkakagulo ang PDP-Laban.

"It is not my fault that no one among you is a leader worthy of the respect of the majority. Do not blame me for the sitcom that your party has been reduced to," ayon kay Sara.

"I am not a 'last two minutes' person. I think, I organize, and I implement accordingly. In the meantime, I refuse to be a political punching bag for a party in complete disarray," dagdag ng alkalde.

Bilang reaksyon, sinabi ni Munsayac, executive director ng PDP-Laban, na "panglito" lang ang Go-Duterte tandem para sa pagtakbo ni Sara.

"It's very impossible that the right hand of the President will go against his boss' daughter," pahayag ni Munsayac.

"This tandem is merely a distraction to shield their 'real' candidate from political attacks and to weaken the PDP-Laban with this decoy candidacy," paliwanag pa niya.

Kabilang si Munsayac sa PDP faction ni Pimentel na planong isulong ang kandidatura bilang pangulo ni Senador Manny Pacquiao.

Ang kabilang paksyon sa PDP-Laban ay pinamumunuan naman ni Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, na nagtutulak sa Go-Duterte tandem. 

Wala namang makitang dahilan si Pimentel para isama siya ni Sara sa inilabas nitong pahayag.

"This is an internal dispute. I never dragged an outsider into our internal dispute or blamed an outsider for the internal dispute or for causing the internal dispute," ani Pimentel.

"Our internal dispute has been caused by someone from the inside. That an outsider is being considered as the presidential candidate by an insider is not the fault of the person being mentioned but the fault of the insider who lacks faith, confidence and loyalty to his party and the talent and skills of the party member," dagdag niya.  —FRJ, GMA News
