Doble ang naging dagok ng isang mag-asawang doktor matapos silang halos magkasabay na ma-diagnose na may cancer. Ngunit ang kanilang debosyon kay Padre Pio, naging daan upang sila ay gumaling.
Sa nakaraang episode ng “Biyahe ni Drew,” itinampok ang mag-asawang doktor na sina Doktora Joyce Olan, isang gastroenterologist, at Dr. Oscar Olan, isang radiologist.

“That cancer actually was an incidental finding. So when the CT scan was done, they saw a mass in the right upper lung. The official result of the biopsy, it turned out there were some cancer cells,” sabi niya.
Dahil dito, nagdesisyon siyang sumailalim sa right upper lobectomy, o aalisin ang kaniyang right upper lung kung saan natagpuan ang cancer.
“I had my second operation. When they sent the lung tissue again for biopsy and histopathology, thank God, no cancer cells were seen,” pagbabahagi ni Dra. Joyce.
Ngunit hindi pa man tuluyang gumagaling si Dra. Joyce, muling nayanig ang kanilang pananampalataya nang si Dr. Oscar naman ang sumunod na ma-diagnose ng stage four pancreatic cancer.
Nangangahulugan itong kumalat na ang cancer cells sa iba pang bahagi ng kaniyang katawan.
“Our panata was much stronger with Padre Pio then. Because there are signs that Padre Pio shows ‘yung pagmamahal niya ang na-feel namin because of our devotion to him,” sabi ni Dr. Oscar.
Noong gabi bago ang kaniyang operasyon, may isang pari ang pumasok sa kaniyang kuwarto na may dalang relic ni Padre Pio.
“They were supposed to remove my stomach, my gallbladder, my pancreas, my spleen. However, during the surgery itself, there came out to be no evidence of the spread of cancer. So they completed the test,” pagbabahagi ni Dr. Oscar.
