Isang bangkay ng doktora na may tama ng bala ng baril sa ulo ang nakita sa loob ng isang nakaparadang kotse sa Naga City nitong Linggo, Feb. 16, 2025.
Kinilala ang biktima na si Dra. Rajean Monette Romualdez, ng Bicol Medical Center, ayon kay Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion.
Ayon sa alkalde, nakita ang bangkay ni Romualdez sa loob ng nakaparadang sasakyan sa Monterey Village sa Barangay Concepcion Pequeña.
"The personnel of Station 2 of the Naga City Police Office, along with our EMTs from the CDRRMO, responded to the scene," saad ni Legacion sa Facebook post.
"I have directed our authorities to conduct thorough investigation. SOCO is assisting to uncover the facts in this incident," dagdag niya.
Sa paunang imbestigasyon ng pulisya, lumilitaw na kasama ng 36-anyos na biktima, ang suspek bago nakita ang kaniyang bangkay sa passenger seat ng kotse.
Naglaan naman ang Naga City government ng P200,000 pabuya sa sinumang makapagbibigay ng impormasyon para malutas ang kaso.
"To aid in the swift resolution of the case of Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez, who was found lifeless with a gunshot wound to the head yesterday, the City Government of Naga is offering a reward of P200,000 to any person who can provide information leading to the identification, arrest, prosecution, and conviction of those responsible for her death," pahayag ni Legacion.
"We call on anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation. Rest assured that any information shared will be treated with utmost confidentiality. You may provide details through any police station or directly to my office. Let us work together to bring justice to Dr. Romualdez and her family," dagdag nito. —FRJ, GMA Integrated News
