"He's doing much better. He's back to work," paglalahad ni Maricel sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda nitong Martes.

"Nagtatrabaho na, nagwo-walking, lahat. I mean, that's the only way he will heal," pagpapatuloy niya.

"He had heart surgery, and we were in the hospital for three weeks. Ngayon he is recovering. It's been two weeks out of the hospital," sabi pa ni Maricel, na naging bahagi ng Afternoon series na "Lilet Matias."

"We didn't want to make it public. We just wanted a private time para sa pamilya so that we could heal properly, all of us. And so we went through it quietly and it's the most beautiful thing to go through together," paliwanag ng aktres.

"If not for a strong heart, which I think I got from running, I should have already showed more serious heart symptoms," sabi ni Anthony.

"It was supposed to be a three to five hour procedure, turned out to be 12 due to some difficulty in inserting the right tube into my lungs while they worked into my heart," sabi niya.

"What was anticipated as a week into the hospital turned out to be at least three as a combination of post-operation procedures to clear my lungs, to regulate my heart rate, blood pressure and to initiate my rehabilitation protocols demanded some attention," dagdag ni Anthony.

"It will be a long, slow road to recovery. One doctor said that what I went through was like being beaten up by 10 guys and rammed by 10 trucks. To hell and back, I describe it," sabi niya.

"Whatever way it is spoken of, I made it through by His grace," ani Anthony.

"Ako, araw-araw is a day to be thankful for. The good, the bad, the ugly, everything is a gift. Every day is a gift," ani Maricel. -- FRJ, GMA Integrated News
