Inilahad ni Mavy Legaspi na isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit hindi na niya itinuloy ang paglalaro ng tennis ay dahil sa naranasang pambu-bully dahil sa kaniyang estado bilang isang “showbiz royalty.”
“Yes that was one of the instances din, pero it wasn’t really ‘yung major factor ng pag-decide ko to quit tennis, but it was one of,” pagbabahagi ni Mavy sa "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" nitong Miyerkoles.
“Siyempre, I tried to be fair and I am very understanding,” pagpapatuloy ni Mavy.
Sa kabila ng pagiging patas sa kaniyang mga nakakalaro, hindi raw nakaiwas si Mavy na ma-bully.
“Just being a showbiz personality, just being a showbiz royalty and then playing a sport with all walks of life, siyempre you deal with all classes I’m competing, I travel to provinces. There’s always that thinking they have na I’m cheating, I paid for my wins,” anang Kapuso actor.
Ngunit ang pinakamabigat na rason daw ng pagtigil niya sa sports ay dahil nawawalan na siya ng oras sa pamilya.
“Pero ‘yung major decision doon was really to keep the family intact kasi hindi kaya ni mama ‘yun na hindi kami complete. I’m really competing all the time, mawawalan din ako ng time for school, for my family, I’m travelling alone, all that.
