Idineklara ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. bilang regular holiday ang Abril 1, 2025 para sa paggunita ng Eid'l Fitr o Feast of Ramadan.
Sa Proclamation No. 839 inilabas nitong Huwebes, binanggit ni Marcos ang Republic Act No. 9177, amending Section 26, Chapter 7, Book I ng Executive Order No. 292, na nagdedeklara sa Eid’l For bilang regular holiday sa buong bansa.
Binanggit din niya ang rekomendasyon ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos na ideklara ang alinman sa Marso 31, 2025 o Abril 1, 2025 bilang isang national holiday.
"In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness and to allow the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr, it is necessary to declare April 1, 2025, Tuesday, a regular holiday throughout the country," ayon kay Marcos. –FRJ, GMA Integrated News
