Inihayag sa Senado ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na mayroong 1,877 na heinous crimes ang hindi nalutas noong 2020.
Ayon kay Police Brigadier General Albert Ignatius Ferro, director ng PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, ang naturang mga krimen ay kinabibilangan ng murder, rape, kidnapping, serious illegal detention, violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act at qualified piracy, at iba pa.
“These are the cold cases that are available on hand,” sabi ni Ferro sa pagdinig ng Senate justice committee.
Inatasan naman ni committee chairman Senator Richard Gordon ang PNP na isumite sa kanila ang kopya ng report para magpag-aralan.
“I am not going to pass judgment that these are the only cases. I know there are a lot of cases. But we’d like to get that [data],” ani Gordon. --FRJ, GMA News
